Picture Rocks is open desert living on the far side of the Tucson Mountains, near Saguaro National Park West, where homes sit on big lots and dogs have room to run. We make the drive out so your pet can stay under the same wide sky they've always known.
$405: At-home euthanasia
$555: At-home euthanasia with communal cremation, ashes not returned
$690: At-home euthanasia with individual cremation, ashes returned to you
Picture Rocks is inside our service area, so there's no travel fee, and no added charge for evenings, weekends, holidays, or larger pets.
Many providers price by weight and add fees for the drive out and for evenings and weekends, so the number you're quoted is rarely the number you pay. We don't work that way. The price above is the price on your invoice.
REQUEST A VISIT CALL OR TEXT 520-600-0339
Someone is available to talk from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. We do our best to fit in same-day requests, and if we can't come when you need us, we'll tell you honestly.
We give a two-hour arrival window, one hour either side of your appointment time, so we can arrive unhurried. And if you just want to talk things through before deciding anything, call us. There's no charge for that conversation.
Many homes in Picture Rocks are off unpaved roads, and addresses can be hard to find, especially after dark. When you book, give us directions from Picture Rocks Road, Sandario Road or Wade Road, any gate details, and a landmark or two, or send a dropped pin. After heavy monsoon rain some washes run across the roads for a while; if that affects your visit, we'll call and adjust your window.
We come to homes throughout Picture Rocks, including the properties off Picture Rocks Road, Sandario Road and Wade Road, and out toward Avra Valley. That's a sample, not a boundary. Call or text 520-600-0339 and we'll tell you whether we can reach you.
The veterinarian who comes to you does this work by choice. In-home euthanasia isn't a side service for us; it's the whole practice.
There's no schedule pressing on your visit. We stay as long as you need.
We sit down with you first. We'll ask about your pet, explain what is about to happen, and answer anything you want to ask. You choose where your pet rests: their bed, your lap, the porch, a shady spot in the yard.
When you're ready, your pet receives a sedative that includes strong pain medication. Over five to fifteen minutes they relax completely and fall deeply asleep. Only when you say so does the veterinarian give the final injection. It is quiet, and it is quick.
Afterward we make a clay pawprint and clip a lock of fur for you to keep, and we give you time alone.
We take care of everything after the visit. Your pet leaves your home with us, snuggled in a clean blanket, and we handle the cremation from there. With individual cremation, your pet's ashes come back to you, and we'll tell you when they're ready. With communal cremation, your pet is cremated alongside other pets and the ashes are not returned.
If you're reading this because your pet has already died at home, we can still come. Body care means we travel to your home in Picture Rocks, take your pet into our care gently, and handle everything that follows, at $455 with communal cremation or $590 if you'd like the ashes back. Call or text 520-600-0339.
No. It's a longer drive for us, so calling earlier in the day helps, but the price doesn't change.
Send us a dropped pin or step-by-step directions from the nearest paved road, and tell us about any gate. We'll call if we need help on the way in.
No. The price is $405 anywhere in our service area, with nothing added for the drive, evenings, weekends, holidays, or larger pets.
